Announcements
Vision Town Hall Meeting:
On Sunday October 25, we will have a post-service town hall here in the Crane Gym to discuss our church's new purpose statement, vision statement, and core values. We will hear from Addison, Dan, Jun, and Jinsol about the statements themselves as well as the reasoning and heart behind them. There will be a time for Q&A as well.
Women's Renewal Flag Football League (RFL):
Renewal Presbyterian Church is celebrating 20 years of God's faithfulness! As part of the celebration, they’re hosting a Renewal Women’s Flag Football League with women from across all of the Renewal sister churches, including Renewal West Philly, Renewal Main Line, True Vine Community Church, City Line Church, and Renewal Center City.
There will be three Sunday practices from October 25 through November 8, from 3:00–5:00 PM at Penn Park, followed by a big game day on Sunday, November 15! No experience is needed, so come join the fun! Sign up here!
They’re also looking for coaches and referees. While the league is a ministry for women and only women are invited to play, both men and women are welcome to serve as coaches or referees. We’d love to have you be part of it - please sign up here to coach/ref.
Missionary Lunches:
We’re grateful for the opportunity to partner with missionaries who are sharing the love of Christ and serving others around the world! Join us for one or both of our upcoming Missionary Update Lunches to hear directly from our missionaries, learn more about their work, and hear how we can continue to support and pray for them.
Both lunches will be held in Crane Conference Room B. We hope you can join us!

Infant Baptism:
We’re looking forward to celebrating infant baptism together as a church family on November 15, 2026. Infant baptism is a joyful sign of God’s covenant promises and a reminder of the church and parents’ commitment to raise children in the faith. At least one parent must be a member of Renewal or currently pursuing membership. Please sign up by October 18th if you would like your infant to be baptized!
Missionary Prayer Breakfast:
Join us for our next Missionary Prayer Breakfast! We will meet on Saturday, October 17th from 9:30am to 11am. Please RSVP to get location details and use the sign up page to help bring pastries and snacks to share together!
Children's Ministry Fall Festival:
Parents of Renewal, join us for our annual Trick or Treat in Fishtown event on Saturday, October 31st from 10am to 12pm! Our young adults will be opening their homes to Renewal families for a morning of crafts, snacks, and fall fun. We’ll visit three homes and walk from house to house, so please dress warmly and be prepared to walk. Please look out for an email from soojungkim@renewalcc.org to register!
Renewal Volleyball:
Looking to pick up a new sport or hobby? Join us for a fun afternoon of volleyball with our neighbors in the Philadelphia community. All skill levels, especially beginners, are welcome. Welcoming Team Need:
We are looking for more people to join our Welcoming Team! Our desire is to cultivate a warm and an inviting atmosphere, to make each person feel seen as they walk in through the doors. Prayer Meetings:
Join us for monthly prayer meetings on the 1st Saturday of every month from 10am - 11:30am to pray in intercession for the church and the city. Please click here to view where prayer meetings are hosted. We hope to see you there!
Bethesda Project:
We’re inviting volunteers to join us in preparing and serving a meal and sharing fellowship with the men at My Brother’s House, the safe haven for men with Bethesda Project’s. We typically meet on the last Saturday of each month – this month we will meet on Saturday, October 31st, from 11:30 AM to 2 PM. Please sign up here. PRN Fall Symposium: “Physician, Heal Yourself”: Where can struggling medical professionals go for care and community?
PRN is hosting a Fall Symposium for medical professionals on Thursday, November 12th from 6–8pm. They will bring together a panel of Christian medical professionals to explore how the Gospel speaks to the unique stresses faced by doctors, nurses, PAs, medical students, and social workers. The evening will address the need for care and community among medical professionals and offer Gospel-grounded resources and relationships to help combat isolation. There will also be an opportunity for questions and discussion. The symposium will be held at Renewal Presbyterian Church in West Philadelphia (4633 Cedar Ave) and costs $15. Moms Group:
Renewal CC Moms Group is a safe space for moms to connect, learn, and grow together through prayer and biblical wisdom. We seek to strengthen our walk with God and nurture our families with Christ-centered love, grace, and purpose. We will be meeting every 3rd Saturday of the month, from 8-9:30 pm at the Franks home in Olde Kensington. Our next gathering is Saturday, November 21st. Please RSVP here.

Renewal has been partnering with Bethesda My Brothers House, a nonprofit organization that provides a Safe Haven, emergency shelter, housing, and support services to the homeless community. We are currently seeking volunteers to serve lunch and share a meal alongside the residents at My Brother’s House. This opportunity takes place monthly, typically on the last Saturday of each month, from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Coffee Hour
Everyone is invited to come to the Crane Center one hour early at 9:30am to enjoy a cup of fresh-brewed coffee, which will be made available outside the gym. Our hope is that this will provide a comfortable, inviting, and informal atmosphere for everyone to not only drink coffee but also interact with one another and form new friendships outside of the Community Group context. You are encouraged, but not required, to bring your own thermos to minimize the number of paper cups that need to be used.
Diaconate Care
If you have any felt needs (physical or spiritual), please contact the Renewal Diaconate (care@renewalcc.org). One of our deacons or deaconesses will schedule a time to meet with you.
- We look to offer the compassion and love of Christ as we meet and pray with you.
- We will walk with you through a process that our Diaconate team has made to see how we can best help you.
- We serve alongside the community of members of Renewal and our leadership team of pastors, elders, and women’s council.
