Summer Connections:
Summer is just around the corner! As travel picks up and Community Groups pause, we’re looking for volunteers to host “Summer Connection” events to help keep our church community stay connected throughout the summer. These can be one-time or recurring gatherings, and you’re welcome to host with friends or your Community Group. Events will run from June through August, with ideas like picnics, hikes, game nights, movie nights, worship nights, or book clubs—the possibilities are wide open. If you have an idea, we’d love to hear it. Interested in hosting? Sign up here to host!

Check out the different Summer Connection events here: Summer Connections.  Each event will have its own sign-up form, so be sure to sign up there to receive more information.

Building Committee Town Hall:
We will be hosting a brief Town Hall right after service on Sunday May 31, 2026 (max 30 min), where the Building Search Committee and staff will be available to provide updates, answer questions, and discuss. Members are also encouraged to provide thoughts through this Google Form or reach out in-person to the Building Search Committee (Dan Pyun, Jinsol Lee, Chris Pham, Mimi Ko, David Lim, Luke Verdi, and Katie Eng) at any point.

Parking Updates:
We are replacing our old parking placards with new ones. If you haven’t already, please pick one up at the Welcome Table or from a member of the Welcome Team in the parking lot. Starting June 14th, old placards will no longer be accepted.

We are also providing an overflow parking lot if the main parking lot is already full by the time you come to park. You can speak with the parking attendant on duty for more information

Bethesda Project:
We’re inviting volunteers to join us in preparing and serving a meal and sharing fellowship with the men at My Brother’s House, the safe haven for men with Bethesda Project’s. We typically meet on the last Saturday of each month – this month we will meet on Saturday, May 30th, from 11:30 AM to 2 PM. Please sign up here. If you can’t come this time but want to in the future, add your name to the waitlist section. If you have any questions, please reach out to Jun, Sue, Joel or Jay at Bethesda@renewalcc.org

Moms Group:
Renewal CC Moms Group is a safe space for moms to connect, learn, and grow together through prayer and biblical wisdom. We seek to strengthen our walk with God and nurture our families with Christ-centered love, grace, and purpose. We will be meeting every 3rd Saturday of the month, from 8-9:30 pm at the Franks home in Olde Kensington. Our next gathering is Saturday, June 20th. We’ll continue our study of “The Gospel-Centered Parent.” Please RSVP here.

Pray With Us
Welcoming Team

  • Pray for unity of the team and to have continual strength and joy to serve.
  • Pray for each person coming into service to feel seen, connected, and comfortable by the team and the church.
  • Pray for more people to join the Welcoming team.

Serve With Us

We are looking for more people to join our Welcoming Team! Our desire is to cultivate a warm and an inviting atmosphere, to make each person feel seen as they walk in through the doors. Please join us in sharing Christ’s love in this way and to welcome people into our church family. Please email us at renewalccwelcomingcommittee@gmail.com and/or reach out to David Lim, if you are interested or if you have any questions!

We are looking to recruit more members! If you have a heart for global missions and would like to be a part of supporting and encouraging the missionaries of Renewal, this could be a great fit for you! We are looking for people to join our support groups for our missionaries, to help plan for our annual Missions Conference in November, and to join us for our monthly Missionary Prayer Breakfast. Please email missions@renewalcc.org for more information!

If you’re interested in serving on our praise ministry team, including sound, please email praise@renewalcc.org for more information or speak to us after service!

We are in need of volunteers for the multimedia team. If you’re interested, please email mimiko@renewalcc.org.

Renewal has been partnering with Bethesda My Brothers House, a nonprofit organization that provides a Safe Haven, emergency shelter, housing, and support services to the homeless community. We are currently seeking volunteers to serve lunch and share a meal alongside the residents at My Brother’s House. This opportunity takes place monthly, typically on the last Saturday of each month, from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM. If you have any questions, please reach out to Joel Choe, Jay Garcia, Jun Shin, or Sue Park at Bethesda@renewalcc.org. Sign up here!

Coffee Hour

Everyone is invited to come to the Crane Center one hour early at 9:30am to enjoy a cup of fresh-brewed coffee, which will be made available outside the gym. Our hope is that this will provide a comfortable, inviting, and informal atmosphere for everyone to not only drink coffee but also interact with one another and form new friendships outside of the Community Group context. You are encouraged, but not required, to bring your own thermos to minimize the number of paper cups that need to be used.

Diaconate Care

If you have any felt needs (physical or spiritual), please contact the Renewal Diaconate (care@renewalcc.org). One of our deacons or deaconesses will schedule a time to meet with you.

  • We look to offer the compassion and love of Christ as we meet and pray with you.
  • We will walk with you through a process that our Diaconate team has made to see how we can best help you.
  • We serve alongside the community of members of Renewal and our leadership team of pastors, elders, and women’s council.
